NAPIT is a Government-approved organisation that holds registers of installers working within the electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilation sectors and is committed to householder safety. NAPIT registered installers work under a Competent Person Scheme to notify any works undertaken on your home to your Local Authority Building Control, in accordance with Building Regulation requirements.

Some NAPIT registered domestic installers have also opted to sign-up to a consumer code of practice that complies with the Government's award winning anti-cowboy TrustMark Scheme providing yet another tier of security for consumers.

Using a NAPIT/TrustMark registered installer assures that the work done on your home will be safe, comply with current Regulations and be completed to the highest quality standard.

NAPIT are also UKAS accredited for the certification of installers under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). Microgeneration is the application of renewable energy technologies on a scale small suitable for domestic properties, such as Solar Photovoltaics (PV), Solar Thermal Hot Water, Wind Turbines, Heat Pumps (ground and air source), Biomass Combustion and Micro-CHP. These technologies often compliment conventional energy and heating technologies or sometimes completely replace it.

The NAPIT Microgeneration Certification Scheme allows installers to fit renewable energy technologies and self-certificate the work in accordance with Building Regulations and deal with Building Control issues on behalf of householders.  Using a registered installer also ensures that householders are able to access financial incentives that they would otherwise be denied.

NAPIT constantly strive to increase public awareness of the inherent dangers of poorly installed work and the potential dangers posed by non-competent tradespeople.

NAPIT operate a comprehensive and rigorous Code of Practice for its registered installers, who are assessed on a yearly basis to ensure they continue to work to the highest standards.

On behalf of its registered installers, NAPIT issue householders with a Certificate of Compliance for the work carried out on your property and also updates your Local Authority Building Control department. This will help with the sale of your house, should you decide to move in the future.

All work that is completed under a written contract and is notified to NAPIT is covered by a Work Quality Guarantee (additional terms and conditions apply). In the event that your tradesperson is no longer in business, NAPIT provides a warranty to ensure that your installation will comply with the appropriate industry standards for six-years from the date of completion.
